The Last Jew Of Vinnitsa
This famous picture was taken by a German solider just before the man was shot. Present in the background of the photo are members of the German Army, the German Labor Service, and the Hitler Youth. This photo was found in the personal album of an Einsatzgruppen soldier; it was labelled on the back “The last Jew of Vinnitsa”. All 28,000 of the Jews living in the Ukraine village of Vinnitsa there were killed and their bodies exhumed by 1941.
